Loyalist × TouchBistro
Connecting TouchBistro puts what a guest actually spends onto their profile. Checks arrive with the items rung in, the modifiers attached to them, and any discounts applied, and each one reaches a guest through the reservation, so a restaurant can build campaigns on buying history.
How it works
A point-of-sale system records what a table spent, not who was sitting at it. TouchBistro sends its closed checks to Loyalist with the spend, the items rung in, the modifier options on each one, any discounts applied, and the table. No TouchBistro check names the diner, as no point-of-sale system does for dine-in service, so each is paired with whichever booking held that table that evening. Once a check is attached to a person, spend stops being a nightly total and becomes part of that guest’s history, which is what makes lifetime value and campaign results countable.
Key benefits
- All TouchBistro check, item, and modifier details are brought into Loyalist. The spend, the items rung in, the modifier options on each one, any discounts applied, and the table. Modifiers are the part most check feeds leave out, and they carry what reads as preference rather than as revenue.
- Checks are matched to guests automatically. Nothing on the check names the diner, so it is paired with the reservation holding that table. The money then accrues to a person instead of to a shift, which is how a steady twice-a-month guest becomes as legible as a once-a-year celebration booking.
- Campaigns and journeys can be built on what guests actually buy. Check size and ordering habits both work as filters. A list can be the guests spending above a threshold, or the ones who always order the same main, or the ones missing since last autumn, and only they get the message.
- The entire check history is imported at the start. Rather than starting from the connection date, the load reaches back through the TouchBistro account, so a long-standing regular is recognisable at once.
Frequently asked questions
How does a TouchBistro check reach the right guest?
Through the reservation. No point-of-sale system records who sat at a table, so each check is paired with whatever booking covered that table at that hour. Checks with nothing to pair against stay unattached, which is why a well-kept book raises a venue’s match rate as much as the connection does.
What happens to my TouchBistro history?
It transfers. Earlier checks are brought in at setup and merged into the guest records already held rather than filed separately, so a regular’s total reads correctly straight away.
