Loyalist × Yelp

Yelp reviews come into Loyalist and attach to the guest who wrote them wherever the details support it, so a review reads alongside that person's visits rather than in isolation. Replies can be sent from Loyalist rather than from the Yelp dashboard.

How it works

Yelp reviews arrive in Loyalist with the rating, the text, and the date. Where the reviewer’s details line up with a guest already in the guestbook, the review is attached to that person, so it reads next to their bookings and spend instead of in a separate feed. Replies can be composed and sent from Loyalist, so responding does not mean opening a separate dashboard.

Key benefits

  • Reviews land on the guest who wrote them wherever the details allow. The rating, the text, and the date arrive together and join that person’s record, so what somebody said publicly sits with what they actually did.
  • A rating means more once you know whose it is. The same two stars read differently from a first-timer and from a guest who has been coming for years, and the profile is what makes that visible before anyone drafts a reply.
  • Replies are sent from Loyalist. A response goes out without opening the Yelp dashboard, so whoever handles reviews can read the guest’s history in the same place they are writing.
  • Sentiment becomes something you can segment on. Guests who left a poor review can be treated as a group, whether that means holding them back from a promotion or routing them to somebody senior on their next booking.

Frequently asked questions

What can I do with Yelp sentiment once it is on a guest?

Use it as behaviour rather than as a score. A guest who left a poor review can be held back from the next promotion, or flagged so somebody senior knows when they book again, and reviewers who are also regulars are exactly the people worth a personal response.

Can the team reply to Yelp reviews from Loyalist?

Yes. A reply can be written and published from Loyalist, so the person responding sees the guest’s visits and spend beside the review they are answering.

Does a Yelp review get connected to the right guest?

Where the reviewer’s details support it. Yelp gives a display name rather than contact details, so the match depends on that name lining up with somebody already known to the guestbook. Reviews that cannot be resolved still arrive and are still readable.
